The Bahrain National Theatre was treated to an extraordinary musical show as the popular Bahrain Philharmonic Orchestra performed their awaited concert “Cinema and TV in Concert”, bringing to life on screen the much-loved scores of cinema.
The impressive event was conducted by the distinguished founder and conductor, Maestro Dr. Mubarak Najem, and marked a celebration of traditional Middle Eastern television soundtracks, as well as global cinema and Indian (Bollywood) film music, incorporating a unique blend of regional and international musical culture.
The concert presented a variety of powerful dramatic arrangements, as well as lively film music and famous movie scores in fresh new adaptations for the modern symphony orchestra.

Maestro Dr. Mubarak Najem remains a central figure in shaping the Kingdom’s orchestral identity. Holding a doctorate in arts and folk art philosophy, his background includes rigorous training at Egypt’s prestigious Conservatoire alongside advanced certifications from Britain’s Royal Academy of Music and Royal College of Music.
Over a distinguished career, his contributions to music education, compositional arrangement, and cultural diplomacy have earned him numerous regional and international accolades.
